1987-July at the same time, Yucel Donmez introduced the technical and style he brought to visual arts by performing performances for 12 days in addition to the one-month exhibition he opened at the Junior Museum of The Art Institute of Chicago. Donmez's exhibition and performances were featured in the main news on America's Chicago-based national television channel WGN, and Donmez was launched as an artist who brought visual arts innovation to the world art platform. WGN television has given the artist the title Chicago's Very Own, and has registered it as the distinctive artist of Chicago. The same award was given to Micahel Jorda a year later for her success in basketball. WGN's traditional award, Chicago's Very Own, is given to people of various professions worldwide.
